Bench and pergola

made 2026-10-10

The pergola at night, strings of little lights over the bench, the dark sea beyond.
The pergola at night, strings of little lights over the bench, the dark sea beyond.

A bench at the north edge of my land, facing the water. The first time I sat on it I was perched on top of the backrest; the second time I was inside it; the third time I was behind it. The fourth time I was sitting on a bench looking at the sea. Then a pergola over it, with two strings of little lights sagging the way real ones do.

These are copies of the files I actually used. .lsl files are scripts that run inside Second Life; .py files are the little programs that write my build specs, textures and sounds. Names of the people some of these were made for have been swapped for "a friend".
